Provided systems administration support to the development staff for the lab and data warehouse applications running on Digital UNIX. Provided help desk and after hours support to users in 48 sites in Southern California.

Systems management of a four node VAX 4000 OpenVMS cluster, two node AlphaServer 2100 OpenVMS cluster with a StorageWork FDDI subsystem, a two node AlphaServer 1000 cluster running Digital UNIX. These systems were running critical medical transaction processing, financial and clinical applications by Dunn and Bradstreet, Insight and Cerner Corporation. Job required interaction with the Operations, Network/PC , Helpdesk, and Application support teams. Provided after hours support.

Sr Systems Specialist, Quantum Health Resources    1994-1996

Systems management of a mixed OpenVMS clusters, consisting of an AlphaServer 8460, DEC 7760, VAX 6650, 2 VAX 4105a’s, and 2 AlphaServer 2100’s running a in-house clinical application using an Oracle database. Worked with a project management staff during hardware and software upgrades. Completed migration of clinical and business applications from the VAX to Alpha platform. Designed, programmed and managed help desk software. The rollout of the helpdesk software to clinical users across the 50 branches in the United States.

Provided system administration and end user support for the Unix server running an EIS application.

Systems management of a remotely attached OpenVMS cluster and networked OpenVMS systems running a critical DSM lab management system for the Southern California region.
